Event: One Eye KSP World Tour 2011 Location: Le Morne, Mauritius Date: 9/23/11-10/2/11
Date: 09-30-2011

This year I was lucky enough to be a part of the KSP World Tour, which is more than just a world tour it represents the riders passion for wave riding, innovation and pushing the sport to higher grounds.  I am happy to be a part of it.  My passion is wave riding too and I would love to see our sport excel in this area.

The 1st stop of the KSP Wave Tour took us to the Indian Ocean to the Island of Mauritius, which delivered pumping conditions like no other place on Earth and like no other wave riding competition in the history of kitesurfing.  In two weeks we got hit by four swells, rode huge perfect barreling lefts breaking over the barrier reef at One Eye.  Just to be on the beach watching those waves was memorable, let alone ride them.  With wind and waves everyday this proved to be the perfect place to fulfill KSP's mission: "supply the world's top kitesurfers with a professional World Championship Tour consisting of prime locations to promote the surfing aspect of the sport and kiting as such to mainstream media and the public".  And so the tour was off to a good... not good EXCELLENT start.  Mauritius is beautiful and the conditions were epic.
